Step One: Choose Carbs

Most Americans are familiar with Chinese dishes that are accompanied by noodles or rice. At Silky Kitchen, customers get to choose between rice, soup noodles, dry mix noodles or fresh rice noodles which are only provided to customers who visit the store. The carbs provide the base of the dish.

Step Two: Gai Ma

In Hunan, toppings are known as Gai Ma. At Silky Kitchen, there are over 16 types of Gai Ma to choose from. The entire menu was carefully crafted by a Hunan chef. Step Three: Choose Your Spice Level

There are four spice levels at Silky Kitchen. New customers are encouraged to start at mild or medium. To experience the true Hunan China experience of the dishes, the owner recommends trying SPICY or EXTRA SPICY. This level of spice is the equivalent to the way the dishes are cooked in Hunan.
